EDUCATIONIST cum philanthropist Stanley Tizora has noted with concern the plight of senior citizens living in and around Nhlambabaloyi secondary school in Ntabazinduna’s ward 5 area.
Tizora has lately been canvassing financial and material support from the diaspora in a move aimed at alleviating some of the challenges faced by the elderly.
Tizora, a school head at Nhlambabaloyi does philanthropic work in his personal capacity as he reaches out to the vulnerable in his community.
On Monday August 6, at a ceremony graced by the local community leaders including ward councilor 5, Tizora donated some food hampers to the elderly.

Tizora, who has been in humanitarian work for years teamed up with his UK contacts to come up with food hampers for the elderly in the area.
“It’s not the school which made the donation but it was my personal donation through relatives in the United Kingdom,” he said.
Also a trustee of one of the PVO called Sivezisiswe which was founded in 2019 with the chief aim of helping the disadvantaged rural students, Tizora revealed that he was touched by the plight of the vulnerable people.
“I discovered these unfortunate people when the school donated vegetables, then I linked up with my cousin in the UK to assist. But let it be clear it’s not the school but myself, however as a school we once donated vegetables to members of the community.
“My cousin in the UK sent money and together we bought the hampers and right now we are in the process of helping a daughter of one of the elderly woman to get medical attention as she is having foot cancer,” he said
On behalf of the school, Tizora said: “We are running viable projects that are sustaining the school and Covid-19 is nothing to us,” said Tizora.
Senior citizens benefited from 10 kg mealie meal, 2 litres cooking oil,2kg flour,1 bar soap and 1 kg beans per head.
