BULAWAYO based controversial prophet, Black Elisha, real name Mduduzi Dube has continued to stoke more arguments in the religious sector due to his tactics which have been criticised in some circles as ungodly and unholy.
This comes after the youthful prophet over the weekend was all over social media after he reportedly used his spiritual padlock to capture daring thieves at one of the prominent businessman’s (name withheld) plot in Manningdale.
According to sources, the businessman who for quite a long time had employed various tactics including breeding vicious dogs and hiring security guards to protect his large fowl run, had to turn to divine intervention after thieves proved to be way more advanced than him.
The sources told this publication that after reading in a local tabloid Bmetro about a local businessman who recovered his US$24 000 which he had lost to two thieves who broke into his car after consulting the prophet, he was also forced to try his luck.
“I read a story in B Metro, about this prophet and at first I thought it was just a joke or one of this fly by night prophet who is busy cheating desperate people in town. However, upon further inquiry I was told more about how he has helped a lot of people using what he calls a padlock and a spiritual spear,” the Manningdale businessman who also has interest in mining.
He added: “I then went to his place and he told me that my problems are over, by just entering his home.”
While the businessman was coy about how Black Elisha used the padlock, sources said the two went to Manningdale together where a spiritual padlock was sunk in the ground in the process invoking a curse on the daring thieves.
“What I can only say is that he did what he did and he promised me that I will catch the thieves as soon as they come back. I spent almost two weeks and nothing happened, when I had lost hope, one Sunday morning I had to be awakened by neighbours early in the morning telling me that there were three men with a blue Honda Fit roaming aimlessly in my plot,” he narrated.
He added that, upon catching them, he decided not to do anything to them but to demand compensation for the massive loss incurred as a result of their actions.
Contacted for comment, Black Elisha said: “I don’t discuss such issues with the media, but what I can tell you is that in my time no thieves will escape the wrath of God upon them through the Spiritual Padlock which is the direction God gave me to use for working out miracles.
