In a remarkable display of collaboration, the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, through its dedicated parastatal Zimparks, has forged a strategic partnership with the International Fund for Animal Welfare ifaw. This collaboration has borne fruit in the form of two newly constructed houses for rangers at Matetsi Safari Camp in Hwange, officially opened by Honourable Evelyn Ndlovu.

These new homes are more than just structures; they are a vital enhancement to the working conditions of our rangers, the steadfast guardians of our wildlife. With over 5,000 elephants roaming the Hwange region and numerous other species thriving in this diverse ecosystem, the role of rangers has never been more critical. They tirelessly protect our natural treasures, ensuring that future generations can experience the beauty of Zimbabwe’s rich biodiversity.
