HIGH rising Sungura ace D.T BiO Mudimba and his Kaani Stars troupe known for his sizzling single Kujata jata is set to drop a single this month.
A multiple award winner D.T BiO Mudimba through Kujata jata had fast become a house hold name amid speculation that if he maintains the Kujata jata tempo he is going to unsettle the musical landscape.
Titled, Mushe Mushe, the new single according to Mudimba is going to affirm his sungura prowess and proving he is not a fly by night artist.
In an interview, D.T BiO said he is happy that he has achieved lifetime firsts at the infancy of his career.
“I am the first artist to win the best sungura award from Matabeleland and also the first artist to win both ZIMA and NAMA awards from Binga Since independence,” he said.
He added: “I am the first artist from Matabeleland to win the song of the year on Radio Zimbabwe since independence.”
According to D.T BiO this latest offering, Mushe Mushe is going to surpass Kujata jata.
He could however could not be drawn to reveal when will be the launch date preferring to give some snippets about the single.
“In this offering Iam looking back and marveling to how far we have come through the journey of life, tracing back through the memory lane, the ups and downs we once came across and all the obstacles that we overcame.
“I conclude that it was not of our fine abilities or wisdom but it was rather through grace. The song also encourages people to give thanks and praise to the creator whether in bad or good times,” he said.
Courtesy of the famous Kujata jata he had garnered three awards the ZIMA best sungura award 2022, NAMA outstanding newcomer award and Star FM Best sungura award.
D.T BiO with his Kujata jata appealed to many through melodious rhythm, however for Mushe Mushe only fate will tell.
